Contarg AgTech
Technology and devices for the field
Agricultural data is born far from an office: in a paddock with no signal, on the plant floor scale, in the notebook of whoever walks the ground. We build the software that organises it and the devices that capture it where it happens.
The foundation already running
What follows is not a promise: it is the platform everything else rests on, in production and with clients using it.
- Production-grade multi-tenant architecture
- Role-based access and isolation between organisations
- RAG and AI-agent orchestration
- Document, image and audio understanding
- Structured outputs, not loose text
- API integrations with the systems you already use
- Dashboards and data visualisation
- Cloud deployment and observability
Services for agriculture
These can be contracted today. Each one builds on the foundation above and adapts to how the operation actually works.
AgTech Management Platform
Geospatial layers, point queries, field surveys and statistics by period. The technical team works on the same territory it walks, with each location's information at hand.
GIS layers · point query · field surveys · statistics
Field surveys without connectivity
Applications that work where there is no signal: entries are stored on the device before anything is confirmed, with camera and location, and sync on their own when the network returns. Each record carries its own key, so a retry never duplicates.
Android and iOS · camera and GPS · local queue · idempotent sync
Deterministic calculation engine
When a result decides how many animals go into a paddock, it cannot come out of a language model. The calculation runs separately, versioned and reproducible: same input, same output, with the formula and coefficients stored alongside the result.
Versioned formulas · result traceability · validated against the manual
Assistant over your technical documentation
Questions in plain language about your own manuals, standards, protocols and reports, answered with the citation and the source. Citations are checked against the documents actually retrieved, and any that do not match are flagged.
Answers with citations · citation verification · isolation per organisation
Batch and unit traceability
Reconstruct a batch's path in minutes: from intake to dispatch, with reports ready for a food-safety audit or an export client. It fits the advanced kit of the national programme.
Batch genealogy · code identification · audit reports
Integration with what you already have
The ERP, the scale, the co-op's system. We add the missing layer and hand the movements back to the system that is already the source of truth, instead of proposing you replace it.
API · files · reading third-party spreadsheets
Field devices
The three units of the AgTech line, with their planned configurations. They are developed in stages: first the two capture devices, then continuous monitoring.
All three are at prototype or roadmap stage. The specifications describe planned configurations, not shipping products.
Contarg Trace Station
Production and shipment traceability recorded by hand on the plant floor.
Manufacturing and agro-industrial plants.
- Industrial camera, code reader and process sensors
- On-device vision to identify unit, label and batch
- Wired or wireless, with local buffering during interruptions
- Device sale or lease, plus platform subscription
Contarg Agro Remote
Establishments with no permanent staff on site that still need to know what is going on.
Farms and livestock operations with remote outposts.
- Climate, soil and water sensors relevant to production
- Long-range links designed for low-coverage areas
- Threshold and pattern alerts delivered to the platform
- Readings enter the map as one more territorial layer
Contarg Edge Monitor
Lines, equipment and critical areas supervised today by eye.
Plants with continuous processes.
- Computer vision for inspection and anomaly detection
- Combines video with industrial sensor data
- Processing next to the process, with low latency
- Fleet configuration and updates from the platform
What stage each initiative is at
The same table we presented to NVIDIA Inception. It is here so nobody buys the wrong expectation.
| Initiative | What it covers | Stage |
|---|---|---|
| AgTech Management Platform | Geospatial layers, assistant with sources, agents and dashboards | In validation |
| Industrial document automation | Document ingestion and process automation | In production |
| Industrial traceability | Production data and AI assistance | In production |
| AgTech edge devices | Sensors, vision and local inference | Proof of concept |
In production means software running in production today. In validation and proof of concept are technical pilots under way, with a limited scope. Device configurations remain planned, not final.
Frequently asked questions about Contarg AgTech
Everything under Services for agriculture: the AgTech Management Platform, offline field surveys, the calculation engine, the assistant over your documentation and batch traceability. Not the three devices yet: they are at prototype or roadmap stage, and this page says so.
That is exactly what it is designed for. Field applications store information on the device before confirming anything and sync when the connection returns; each record carries its own key so a retry does not create duplicates.
Several of these solutions fit kits in the official catalogue, and Contarg is a provider of the programme. Since Resolution 343/2026 it applies to any SME, not just manufacturers, so an agricultural establishment can apply too.
Each organisation's information is isolated from the rest, with access by role and by area. In a first conversation we go through where it is hosted, who has access and what gets logged.
Trace Station and Agro Remote have prototypes planned for Stage 2, and Edge Monitor enters in Stage 3, after the first two. These are development stages, not committed delivery dates.
Do you have a field problem that is solved by hand today?
Tell us how you work now and we will tell you what can solve it, what stage it is at and whether it fits the national programme. If what you need does not exist yet, we will tell you that too.
The capabilities, specifications and stages on this page follow the NVIDIA Inception 2026 application. Device configurations are planned and may change during development.
