Argentina's KIT 4.0 Program funds technology adoption in small and mid-sized companies. Contarg is an approved provider: we implement the kit and handle the benefit process, so your company pays less for the project.
In one line
KIT 4.0 covers up to 50% of the eligible net amount of a digitization project. Your company contracts the kit at full price, and the program benefit cancels a portion of that net amount. To qualify you need a valid MiPyME certificate, an activity included in the eligible activities list, and no outstanding tax or social security debt.

Since September, you no longer need to be a manufacturer
Resolution 343/2026 opened the programme to SMEs in any sector: retail, services, healthcare, logistics, agriculture and more. Three requirements remain: at least two years of activity, a valid MiPyME certificate, and being up to date with tax and social security obligations. The kit catalogue stays the same.

Quote and scoping
We review your operation, define which catalogue kit solves the problem, and prepare the itemised quote the programme requires: software, professional services, training and integrations, each listed separately.

Eligibility request · TSE
The request is filed by the recipient company through its own online filing account. We prepare all the technical documentation and walk you through it.

Eligibility ticket · TER
With a complete request, the programme issues the ticket reserving the benefit allocation in your company's name. It is valid for 60 calendar days.

Start-of-work notice · AIPM
The start-of-work notice is also filed by your company. This is the stage most often missed: file it within 60 days and the execution window extends to 300 days; miss it and the ticket lapses, releasing the allocation.

Implementation

Final report · ARC and TRC
We file the final report with receipts and evidence of use. Once the Committee approves it, the benefit is credited and applied against the corresponding portion of your invoice.

BAS-01
Connectivity and cybersecurity
The foundation everything else rests on: network, access, identity and data protection.
For example: Separating the machine network from the office network, with an industrial firewall and secure remote access to equipment.

Data born digital on the shop floor, with no spreadsheet in between.
For example: A live dashboard for a packaging line showing units, rejects and stoppages on a terminal in the area. Or cold-room temperature monitoring with alerts.

Ordering the work queue around each area's real capacity.
For example: Sequencing a metalworking shop's orders by work centre, and replanning when a material runs short.

Basic maintenance
Making maintenance planned, and keeping a record of it.
For example: A preventive plan and work orders for compressors and boilers, with fault history and QR checklists on each machine.

Energy efficiency
Measuring consumption so it can be brought down.
For example: Metering at the main panel and on compressors, tracking kW/kWh, power factor and demand peaks.

GES-01
Operations management · ERP, CRM and MRP
Orders, purchasing, stock and production orders in a single flow. It can be implemented in mixed mode, integrating the systems your company already uses.
For example: Stock, orders and purchasing for a food SME. Or production orders with batch traceability, connected to the ERP already in place. Up to 25 users, 12 to 16 weeks.

AVZ-01
Predictive maintenance with IoT
Sensors that warn you before the equipment stops.
For example: Vibration and temperature on a critical motor or pump, with alerts when the pattern drifts out of normal.

Machine vision for quality
A camera that inspects on the line what the eye cannot keep up with.
For example: Spotting badly sealed containers or misaligned labels on the belt. Or grading fruit by size, colour and defect in a packing house.
AVZ-03
Batch or unit traceability
Reconstructing a batch's full path in minutes.
For example: Batch genealogy in food production, from intake to dispatch, with reports ready for a food-safety authority or an export audit.
AVZ-04
Simulation and digital twin
Testing the change before paying for it.
For example: Simulating a line's layout before buying a new machine, or modelling where the real bottleneck sits.
3D printing and augmented or virtual reality sit outside the catalogue we cover: they are not our specialty. If your project goes that way, we will tell you and point you in the right direction.
What it means in money
This needs to be clear from the start, because it defines what you actually pay:
- The program benefit is credited to Contarg's tax account as the approved provider, and applied as a means of cancelling part of the net amount we invoice you. In practice, your company pays less.
- VAT and other taxes are calculated on the total and remain your company's responsibility. The benefit does not cover them.
- The benefit is subject to approval of the final report. If it isn't approved, fully or partially, that net balance remains your company's responsibility. That's why we only frame projects that qualify.

Kits are sequential: to start a new one, the previous kit's report must be approved. Two kits cannot run at the same time.
What your company needs to qualify
- A valid MiPyME (SME) certificate.
- At least two years of activity. Since Resolution 343/2026 the sector no longer matters: any SME operating in Argentina qualifies.
- No outstanding tax or social security debt at the time of filing.

Frequently asked questions about KIT 4.0
No. Under the program's terms, the benefit is credited to the approved provider's tax account — in this case, Contarg — and applied to cancel a portion of the net amount we invoice you. The effect is that your company pays less, but the credit does not land in your own tax account.
The counterpart of the eligible net amount (up to 50% less, depending on the kit and the caps) plus VAT calculated on the total. VAT and other taxes are not covered by the program.
Any net balance not cancelled remains your company's responsibility. That's why we only frame projects that meet the requirements, and we prepare the documentation carefully.
Yes, but they're sequential: you can only start a new one once the previous kit's report is approved, and the total cap per company is ARS 45,000,000 for the whole call.
It depends on the kit and the agency's timelines. As a reference, between the eligibility request, implementation and final reporting, a full kit takes several months. In the first meeting we give you a realistic timeline for your case.
Yes. Until August 2026 the programme was open only to industrial SMEs. Resolution 343/2026, in force since 1 September, opened it to any sector: retail, services, healthcare, logistics, agriculture. What stays the same is the catalogue: whatever is implemented has to fit one of the current kits.
The eligibility request and the start-of-work notice are filed by your company through its own online filing account, with documentation we prepare. The quote, the execution and the final report are handled by Contarg as the provider.
